Administration
The team has people who do computer work and office work. They work together with the doctors to make sure everything runs smoothly and you get good service from the practice.
Receptionists
The Receptionists are often the first people you have contact with at the surgery. They are the voices and faces you see when you make an appointment or pick up your prescription. Their duties are multi skilled and essential to the effective operation of a GP practice. Our receptionists are here to help you with any questions you might have about the Practice.
At times, it may be necessary for receptionists to request your personal information. We assure you that our staff follow necessary procedures in the strictest confidence.
Please be courteous to our staff as they are there to help you.
HealthCare Team
Community Midwives
The Community Midwives share responsibility for antenatal care with your GP. They might, where appropriate, also share information with the hospital. They arrange antenatal care and preparation for parenthood classes. Community Midwives are there to offer advice and help with pregnancy related problems.
Community Nurses
Community Nurses are not employees of the practice. They work in local Health Centre’s and work closely with the Doctors and Practice staff.
District Nurses
The District Nurses in our area offer different nursing help at local Health Centers. They can come to your home if you can’t leave and need nursing care. They can also help people who take care of others. District Nurses can give advice if you have trouble controlling your bathroom needs.
Health Visitors
The Health Visitors provide advice and support to parents and young families. They can offer advice on feeding, crying babies, postnatal depression, health education etc.
Attached Staff
Other members of our Primary Healthcare Team include Audiologists, Podiatrists, Counsellors, Speech Therapists and Physiotherapists.
These services work on the first floor of our Health Centre. There, you will find a Reception Desk who will be able to help on how to access these services.
